Divine Intervention

Sometimes, a spur of the moment decision turns into a life-changing event. At least, that was the case for a woman named Rose. My name is Carl, and I used to live in Australia. My friend and I decided to take a trip down the coast during one of our vacation weeks. While we were traveling, someone recommended a small town that was slightly out of the way. We didn’t really want to go since it was slightly out of our way, but we had a free day and decided to check it out. 

​We got to this small town, called Nimbin, and went to do some exploring. We noticed a woman, Rose, sitting off to the side, all alone. My friend wanted to talk with her, so we walked over. Our conversation turned to each person’s beliefs and we began to preach the Gospel. It turned out that the night before, Rose had a dream that two guys would come up to talk with her about Jesus! 

The next day, Rose rented a car and drove over an hour away to buy herself a Bible. Since then, I’ve learned that she has been receiving weekly discipleship, and is known in her community as someone who preaches the Gospel to anyone who will listen!

God used our whimsical decision to follow a friend’s recommendation to change someone’s life. How have you experienced God’s divine intervention in your daily life?
