Launching Biblically - Trained Mariners
February 20 - May 17, 2025
This 12-week course pairs the Royal Yachting Association's Day Skipper curriculum with further discipleship through the UofN for those who desire to progress to a ships officer. Training is offered, not only with UofN standards, but also with the standards set by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA).
Certifications Obtained:
This course will lead to RYA Day Skipper theory examinations and cover the theory needed to gain a RYA Day Skipper certificate.

Learn basic marine terminology and safety procedures for crew onboard vessels.

Introduction to oceanography and meteorology and its effects on sailing vessels.

Understand how to navigate on the water using charts, compasses, & GPS-based instruments.

Learn international rules regarding marine environment protection & its onboard application.
