When I began my Chronological Biblical Core Course back in 2021, I had no idea the value it would have for me. I originally chose to do the CBCC because I wanted to be closer to God and wanted to be able to study the Bible on my own. Those weren’t selfish desires, but they were self-focused.
Little did I know how passionate I would become in helping others learn to study the Bible. During my CBCC I realized that I had been content to allow my pastor or someone else to read the Bible for me; however I didn’t spend much time reading it myself. Many members of the Church struggle with this. Some just don’t know where to begin or find the Bible very intimidating.

My husband and I recently went to Asia to teach at a Discipleship Training School. We are missionaries, and like other missionaries, we rely on a team of generous supporters to fund what we do. . Our supporters aren’t just financial partners with us, but they are prayer and ministry partners as well. I would say that our ministry partnership is the most important part for us. Have you ever heard the phrase, “Find your rest in God.”? Do you know what it means? Do you really know what it means, like, have you ever had to actually do it? Sleep didn’t get me through this week. Coffee, good friends, healthy food, exercise, and orange juice didn’t get me through this week. I’m not kidding when I say that Jesus is what I lived off of. |
